I do have it on my home button…
Not sure if something changed when I updated my header.

Matt Cutts just recently updated his blog, and I dont believe WP blocks the home button
Either he put it on or it comes standard with the Thesis theme

I was actually looking for information on that topic on google and I stumbled upon your post.

Just one question: If you recommend it, why don’t you use it on your post page? Correct me if Im wrong but there is no “nofollow” on your “home” link.

Second thought: I looked at Matt Cutts new blog domain name, and I saw a nofollow on his HOME button… I dont know if it’s something that came with his template though..

It’s just one more on page factor. Whether you see a huge increase or not is not the point.
Making sure that your website is FULLY OPTIMIZED is what matters. Everything counts!

I have seen this idea running around over the last month or so in the forums (SEOChat and others). I have no idea if it really works, but it *does* seem extremely logical. We’ve tried it on our site as an experiment. Would love to hear from others if they think the nofollow thing on-site is really true.
