Anyone can report an error with the Suggest a correction link on every page. An editor checks the report against a primary source. A confirmed correction is made on the entry, the entry's last-verified date is updated, and the change is logged on this page with its date.
How to report an error
Use the Suggest a correction form, or the link at the bottom of any entry, which fills in the page address for you. Describe what is wrong and what is correct, and include a source if you have one.
What happens next
An editor checks the report against a primary source. If the entry is wrong, it is corrected and its last-verified date changes. If the report cannot be confirmed, the entry stays as it is until a source settles the question.
Corrections log
No corrections have been logged yet. Each confirmed correction will be listed here with the date, the entry and what changed.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to report an error?
No. The correction form needs only the page address and a description. Your name and email are optional.
Will I hear back?
If you leave an email address, an editor can reply when a correction is made or when more detail is needed.
Are corrections ever made without being logged?
Spelling and formatting fixes are not logged. Any change to a fact is.
